“Gifts of God” – God gives us forgiveness, life and salvation through His Word. Not our works or efforts save us, but God’s powerful Word. God attaches His Word to water in Holy Baptism. Jesus attaches His Words to bread and wine in the Lord’s Supper so that His Body and Blood with forgiveness, life and salvation are also there with the bread and wine for to eat and drink. These are wondrous gifts of God for us.
