Zion Hosts President of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ghana

Sunday, July 31 – Zion Lutheran Church Hosts Rev. John Shadrack Donkoh, President of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ghana (ELCG)

ELCG President John Donkoh will speak at Zion Lutheran Church in Ridgeville Corners, Ohio on Sunday, July 31 at three different times:
    –  Adult Bible Class 8:45 am;
    – Preacher for the Worship Service at 10:00 am; and as
    – Luncheon Speaker following the Worship Service.   THE PUBLIC IS WELCOME AT ALL EVENTS.
 
President Donkoh was re-elected at the ELCG National Delegates Conference March 19-21, 2021. He served his first term as president from 2018 – 2021. Prior to his initial election in 2018,
 
“President Donkoh was pastor of All Saints Lutheran in Anyaa and a part-time lecturer at the ELCG’s seminary in Sasaabi. He was ordained in 1991, and subsequently served and planted churches throughout Ghana. From 1994-2002, he served as a missionary to Uganda, and further served as Manager of Lutheran Hour Ministries (LHM) in that country from 1995-2003. He later served as Country Director for LHM in Ghana from 2003-2011. President Donkoh formerly served the ELCG as secretary of the Ministerial Council (2003-2008), as Vice Chairman of its Restructuring Committee (2006), and as Secretary of the Disaster Committee (2007-2011).”
