St. Paul taught that Christians should never avenge evil ourselves, but leave punishment to the wrath of God. (Rom. 12:19) Paul quoted Proverbs 25:21-22
“If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink, for you will heap burning coals on his head, and the LORD will reward you.”
Jesus Himself did not meet evil with evil but with mercy! What did He say on the cross? “Father, forgive them, they know not what they do.” (Luke 23:34). Join us as we consider God’s will for our Christian lives in difficult times when evil is all about.
