October 31 – Reformation Sunday – Endurance in the Eternal Gospel

6 Then I saw another angel flying directly overhead, with an eternal gospel to proclaim to those who dwell on earth, to every nation and tribe and language and people. 7 And he said with a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come, and worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.”.. 12 Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus. Revelation 14:6,7 & 12

Whatever our situation and condition the “eternal gospel” is meant for us. The Good News of God is to be proclaimed “to those who dwell on earth, to every nation and tribe and language and people.” The Gospel is divine, it is of God. It is for all people.

The Gospel is not about our works, but about the works Jesus Christ has done for us. The holiness before God that we need is what Jesus has accomplished. (Romans 3:19-22)

Jesus calls His disciples to abide in His Word, then we will know truth and freedom. Nothing else but the Word of Christ can reveal truth and give eternal freedom. (John 8:31-32)

Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus. Revelation 14:12
