But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah,
from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel,
whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days. Micah 5:2
Little Bethlehem was the birthplace of the One is is from ancient days, the Son of God. Human estimates of small and big do not matter to God. He can work His saving plan through any human condition. Bethlehem was little, Mary was of humble estate — yet both are remember throughout the generations as part of God’s plan of salvation. So also God works in our lives to fulfill HIs plan to save us — it is the power and grace of His work that saves whether we are “strong” or “weak.”
